This is funny!
Is this the most ridiculous use of a QR code to date in Google earth?Just when you think you have seen QR codes in all shapes and sizes, along comes something so ridiculous that it blows my mind. A company are now offering to add your QR codes to roof tops that appear within Google earth and other mapping services. They are calling it a new frontier for “advertising from space” and it follows on from them selling traditional advertising on top of buildings for the last couple of years. Now if the idea of advertising space on a virtual building is quirky and could work for a one off campaign then the idea of putting a QR code on a building and hoping people will scan it is absolutely nuts.
